Care Instructions

  1. Our jewellery is completely hand-crafted at our workshop and needs to be handled delicately. Handle each piece with as much care as these can be prone to breakage if dropped or dealt with recklessly. Avoid wearing jewellery during physical exercise, cooking, bathing or any activity that could cause scratches or breakage
  2. Your jewellery should be stored in a dry place away from humidity, moisture and extreme temperatures.
  3. Rings, bangles and bracelets should be worn sparingly to avoid damage through impact.
  4. Don’t forget to remove your rings, bangles and bracelets when washing or showering, as soap particles may become lodged in stone settings and crevices. Soaps can also leave a film over metal and stones, creating a dull appearance. Harsh soaps and detergents could completely tarnish the product leaving no scope of repair or replenishment.
  5. Store your jewellery in individual box or pouch to prevent scratching, chipping and entangling, especially those that have heavily strung in beads or pearls.
  6. Commercially available jewellery boxes are not recommended for storage. They may have chemical adhesives that could cause discolouring and blackening. Plastic boxes layered with cotton cloth and bubble wrap is your jewellery’s best friend.
  7. All our silver jewellery is hand polished before dispatch. When exposed to the atmosphere, all metals especially alloy & silver are prone to oxidation and consequent tarnishing.
  8. Gentle rubbing with a dry cotton or muslin cloth, after wearing, will restore the original brilliance of the surface, if any grooming products have layered over the part that sticks to the skin. It is essential to do that before storing as the fumes and chemicals , when stored with the product, can lead to blackening or dullness.
  9. Do not use liquid cleaners for alloy, silver or gold  jewellery.
  10. If you wear your gold-plated silver jewellery for significant periods of time, the plating will eventually wear down. To restore its appearance, you can have it re-plated for a nominal additional charge. You can check for the same with our team over email/WhatsApp.
  11. Make sure your jewellery is not in regular contact with hard surfaces, which will scratch or wear down the plating or enamelling.
  12. Never use detergent, soap, toothpaste etc to clean your jewellery.
  13. When dressing, jewellery should always be the last thing you wear and first thing you remove as make up, perfume, hair spray etc can cause tarnishing.
  14. All stone jewellery requires extra care and consideration during wearing to protect the setting.
  15. Treat your pearls delicately. The nacre on the outside of pearls is soft, and though the layer of nacre is thick on Swarovski and natural pearls, it can still wear or chip away over time if you don’t treat the pearls with extreme care. Keep your pearls in a box with a soft lining and away from metal jewelry that can rub against them.
  16. Heat and light can impact a precious stone’s colour and durability. Direct sunlight can fade a lot of stones, including semi precious and artificial stones.

Should there be any concerns, please send the jewellery piece back to us and we will gladly rectify it for you, if it is within our scope of work.
